Two Fort Wayne Flite players added as late substitutes to CBA All-Star team, as squad begins travel to Canada

With the less than twenty-four hours to go until the Central Basketball Association versus North of the Border Basketball League All-Star game, wherein they represent the United States and Canada, respectively; the CBA coaching staff and management elected to make two eleventh-hour substitutions on to their roster.

With the recent unavailability of two forwards from the Bowling Green Hornets, Christian Siakam (6-7, 255, IUPUI) and Deantra Scott (6-5, 195, Lindsey Wilson), two replacement forwards have been brought into the squad, both from the Fort Wayne Flite: James Humphrey (6-7, 225, University of Missouri-Kansas City), who averaged 15.9 points per game, 8.8 rebounds per game, and 1.5 blocks per game for the Flite in 2014; and Antonio Wilson (6-8, 235, Glen Oaks CC), who averaged 8.8 points per game and 7.0 rebounds per game for the Flite this past season. The two tall forwards should give Coach Nathan Thompson more depth in the front court, as they join Bowling Green's John Paul Nyadaro (6-9, 220, Trevecca Nazarene) as the only players on the roster above 6-7, as opposed to the six players above that threshold on the Canadian roster.

Furthermore, the CBA has added Fort Wayne Flite's Head Coach, Roderick Wilmont, as an assistant coach on the All-Star staff, joining Memphis' Alondray Rogers, in supporting Head Coach Thompson tomorrow evening. Wilmont, a former player in the NBA D-League and at Indiana University, finished his rookie season with the Fort Wayne Flite in 2014, with a 6-4 record, and leading the team to their first post-season berth.

The twelve CBA players, along with the three members of the coaching staff, have begun their route to the Toronto region, as tomorrow night's all-star game is scheduled for an 8:00 p.m. tip-off at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. Stay tuned for periodic updates of the action on the league website and by following the CBA on Twitter (@playCBA).
