This marks the second time the AP has issued a press release regarding the CBA, as prior to the start of the 2014 season, the AP released a similar story promoting the league at that point as well.

The popularity of the league continues to grow in the United States, where to date, nearly 150 former NCAA and NAIA basketball players have participated in the CBA, as well as nearly two dozen players in the league signed to international contracts, including 15 in the last four months.
