BOWLING GREEN 118, MEMPHIS 107: (Memphis, Tenn.) - In a high-scoring encounter in southwest Tennessee, it was a tale of two periods that told the story of the game. From the opening tip to midway through the second quarter, it was all Memphis, where they led by as many as 12 points. But then the tides turned, as Bowling Green doubled-up on the hosts 56-28 over the next two quarters, en route to an easy double-digit victory. Bowling Green (5-2) was led by last year's leading scorer, Teraes Clemmons, with a season-high 32 points, Marquise Rudolph with 28 points, and Fred Sturdivant with 21 points. Memphis (2-4) was led by Myron Strong and Keith Barron with 23 points each, and Jonathan Stevens with 22 points. Next weekend features a critical showdown between Bowling Green and Middle Tennessee, where the winner will win the South Division title and earn a first-round playoff bye. By virtue of today's loss by Mississippi, Memphis earned the third playoff spot from the South Division, and will likely be the sixth seed in this year's postseason tournament.

MIDDLE TENNESSEE 111, MISSISSIPPI 91: (Nashville, Tenn.) - One night after posting the biggest comeback in team history, Middle Tennessee did not let down in a potential trap game. After a back-and-forth start, in which Mississippi led by three at the end of the first quarter, and Middle Tennessee only led by six at the break, the hosts erupted on a 21-4 run to open the second half, cruising to their largest margin-of-victory of the season. Middle Tennessee (5-1) was led by Myles Thrash for a second consecutive game with 26 points, while Joshua Sain had 20 points. Mississippi (1-6) was led by Hauns Brereton (26 points) and Anthony Jones (21 points). Middle Tennessee will play for the South Division title next weekend and first-round bye in the playoffs, while Mississippi was effectively eliminated from postseason contention via today's defeat.
