Prior to joining the Fort Wayne Flite, 6-foot-8 forward, Raymon Austin, played professionally in Oman, and was looking at the Central Basketball Association as an opportunity to obtain valuable game film and experience in order to secure his next international contract.

After an undefeated championship season in Fort Wayne, the 27-year-old Austin is back overseas, as he inked a deal earlier this month with his new team, PEA, in Thailand.

The former West Virginia State and Saint Catherine product averaged 12.2 points per game and 6.9 rebounds per game with Fort Wayne this past season.

Despite now participating in competitive basketball on the other side of the world, Austin has continued his winning ways. Not only did he finish the CBA season with Fort Wayne with an undefeated 10-0 record, but he also helped PEA win each of its first two games this past weekend to start the season 2-0 in the Thailand Basketball League.

Since 2013, the CBA has helped over 125 players from the league earn opportunities to play overseas, making it not only one of the fastest growing minor league basketball organizations in the United States, but currently one of the best platforms for aspiring athletes to showcase their talents in an international setting.
