After three seasons of playing in the CBA, and participating in the CBA's Global Opportunities Program earlier this year in Dubai, Bowling Green's Quincy Scates has finally earned himself his first international contract.

The 26-year-pld, Scates, will be playing this season in El Salvador with Cojute Basketball Club (Club De Baloncesto Cojute), who finished 13-17 last season in the nation's top league, Liga Mayor

Last season, the 6-foot-5 guard out of Tennessee Wesleyan College, averaged 14.3 points per game and 7.3 rebounds per game for Bowling Green. Since he began play in the league in 2014, he has averaged 13.9 points per game and 5.4 rebounds per game in 29 career games, seeing a rise in his statistical performance in each season.

Additionally, Scates posted double-digit point totals in eight out of the nine contests during the 2016 campaign, including a career-best 28-point, 17-rebound performance against the Middle Tennessee Storm in late April.

With this signing, Scates becomes the 50th player from the Bowling Green organization to receive an opportunity to play overseas, and the 135th player overall from the CBA to compete internationally after playing in the league.
