Prior to playing with the Fort Wayne Flite during the 2016 Central Basketball Association season, Greg Foster, had a brief stint in the NBA D-League with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants in 2014.

However, the NBA D-League experience did not go the way Foster had planned, and he was determined to get a better opportunity in the international market. This drive and persistence led him to the CBA, where he anchored the backcourt for Fort Wayne in tremendous fashion this past season.

The 6-foot-2 guard and Saginaw Valley State graduate, Foster became a 1st-Team CBA All-Star in 2016, where he averaged 24.2 points per game, 5.8 assists per game, 4.5 rebounds per game, and 2.0 steals per game.

Furthermore, during the 2016 CBA postseason tournament, Foster averaged 25.5 points per game and 7.5 assists per game to lead Fort Wayne to not only the first undefeated season in league history, but also bringing Fort Wayne its first-ever championship title to the city.

With his excellent success on the court, Foster's hard work paid off, as he has landed an opportunity to play in Saudi Arabia with Al-Ansar. Foster becomes the 162nd player in the CBA to play on international soil, and yet another former NBA D-League player who participated in CBA competition in order to get a subsequent contract overseas.

The 2017 CBA season is set to begin in late March 2017. Prospective athletes are encouraged to register at www.playcba.com/registration as league teams begin tryouts in the coming weeks.
