BOWLING GREEN 122, MIDDLE TENNESSEE 98: (Nashville, Tenn.) - One evening after stunning Middle Tennessee with a last-second victory, Bowling Green did not let this afternoon's contest go down to the wire. Dominating from the opening tip, Bowling Green erupted in the second quarter, outscoring Middle Tennessee by 22 points, en route to a 30-point halftime lead. Bowling Green maintained their lead above 30-points throughout the second half before cruising to a comfortable 24-point victory. Bowling Green (4-2), which won its fourth game in the last five contests, was led by Chris Kopooshian with 27 points and Jared Stephens with 20 points, while Middle Tennessee (1-6), who were eliminated from playoff contention after their sixth consecutive defeat this season, were led by Myles Thrash with a league-high 38 points and Fabien LaRonde with 20 points. Bowling Green will look to earn a playoff spot, and potentially a top seed in the postseason, with two games next weekend: Saturday night in Memphis against Mississippi and Sunday afternoon at home versus Illinois, while Middle Tennessee concludes their worst season in their five-year history with a home game next Saturday evening against Illinois.
