In his first two career games last weekend in the Central Basketball Association, Memphis' Jameel Best posted not one, but two consecutive double-doubles to give his team a frontcourt presence they have never had in their competitive history in the league.

The 6-foot-9, Best, who played football at Ole Miss University, had a combined 37 points, 32 rebounds, and 5 blocks in Week One of the 2018 CBA season, including the league's best performance of the weekend, where he posted a 20-point, 20-rebound, 4-block effort in last Sunday's comeback overtime victory over Bowling Green. In that game, Best shot 9-for-15 from the field, grabbed nine offensive rebounds, and proved that defending him in the paint will be a challenge for Memphis' opponents this season.
