MIDDLE TENNESSEE 110, BALTIMORE 80: (Severn, Md.) - Eleven months ago, a depleted Middle Tennessee team traveled to Maryland, only to be handed their worst loss in team history by Baltimore, 107-78. Fast forward to tonight as the visitors from Nashville looked to exact revenge with a full complement of players. After trailing early to the hosts 11-7 early in the first quarter, Middle Tennessee put on an offensive clinic, finishing the quarter on a 10-0 run, followed by 69 points in the second half to hand Baltimore its worst loss in team history. Middle Tennessee was led by Myles Thrash (28 points) and Joshua Sain (22 points), both of whom did not play in last year's contest. Baltimore was led by Marquis Powell and Antonio Wright, who each scored 19 points. Middle Tennessee (1-0) returns home for a contest with Memphis two weeks from today, while Baltimore (0-1) begins their first road trip next weekend versus Illinois and Fort Wayne on Friday and Saturday, respectively.

JACKSON 97, MEMPHIS 84: (Jackson, Tenn.) - After spending the last three seasons as the Mississippi Eagles, the hosts made their debut in their new home in Jackson, Tennessee, facing off their former cross-town rivals from Memphis. After the visitors jumped to a lead through one period, Jackson held Memphis to only 13 points in the second quarter, to not only regain the lead, but by double-digits. After a brief scare from Memphis in the third, Jackson cruised easily in the final frame en route to a comfortable 13-point victory in their home opener. Jackson (1-0) was led by newcomer Ervin Herron II with 36 points along with Kendrick Coleman with 17 points. Memphis (0-1) was led by newcomers Dontarion Wright (28 points) and Jameel Best (17 points). Jackson will host Bowling Green two weeks from tonight, while Memphis hosts Bowling Green tomorrow afternoon.
