INDIANAPOLIS 111, ILLINOIS 83: (Danville, Ill.) - After a slow start last night on the road, where Indianapolis trailed Illinois by three points through one quarter of play, the visitors erupted for 33 points in the second quarter to jump out to a double-digit lead at the break. After Illinois tried to make things interesting in the second half with an attempt at a comeback, Indianapolis held them to just 13 points in the final frame to cruise to their second consecutive dominating victory in as many contests. Indianapolis (3-0), which remained in first place with the win, was led by Anthony White, Jr. and Franqlin Gaston, with 29 points each, while Illinois (1-4), which dropped their third straight game, was led by Denzel Smith with 27 points. Indianapolis will host Fort Wayne this Sunday afternoon, which will be a potential battle between two unbeaten squads and a rematch of last season's championship game.
