In September 2015, representatives from the Central Basketball Association and Under Armour, met at the company headquarters in Baltimore, Md., to discuss a potential relationship between the two entities.

After several months of communication and negotiation, the CBA is proud to announce the finalization of a long-term partnership with Under Armour. The landmark agreement will feature Under Armour as the official on-the-court apparel brand for the CBA for domestic and international competition.

Beginning this upcoming 2016 CBA season, all member teams of the league will receive customized Under Armour uniforms, where the designs will be intended to not only promote the Under Armour brand, but also improve the marketability of each of the CBA teams. Additionally, coaches and players will also receive various Under Armour apparel to further popularize the image and credibility of the league, as well as the multi-billion dollar sportswear corporation.

The league's relationship with Under Armour will also extend into international competition, as Under Armour uniforms and apparel will be utilized within all international events hosted by the CBA. This will also include the CBA Global Championship Series between the winner of the 2016 CBA season and the 2016 CBA Brazil season, which is scheduled to occur in the United States later this year.

During the course of the season, the CBA will also open its online store featuring customized Under Armour products, in order to give fans of each respective CBA member team the opportunity to purchase assorted team apparel to support their home club.

Furthermore, starting later this year, all CBA annual offseason meetings will be held at the Under Armour Headquarters in Baltimore. The meetings will include representatives from the CBA, member teams, and Under Armour. Prior to this agreement, the league held its annual meetings between member teams and league representatives at various locations across the United States. The last three years, the meetings were held in Nashville, St. Louis, and Washington, D.C., respectively.

Finally, for all CBA-affiliated international events, as conducted under the CBA Global Opportunities Program, in which the departure itinerary is from the East Coast, CBA players involved with the tour will be able to conduct their basketball and fitness training at the Under Armour facility in Baltimore.

The long-term partnership between the fastest-growing minor league basketball organization in the United States, and one of the most popular and recognizable athletic brands in the country, serves as a critical success point for the CBA, as they prepare for the start of their fourth season in less than two months.
